The Cases module has just been released for Joomla 1.6+ and Joomla 1.5.  This module will list the cases of the logged in rep in a module position of your choice.  Configuration parameters allow you to select the number of cases to display and how they will be sorted.

Version 0.89.02 of Huru Helpdesk has now been put into general release. You can download v0.89.02 here, or by using the Download link above. 

If you are using any of the Huru Helpdesk add-ons, new versions were released along with 0.89.02beta1 to make them compatible with the new release and Joomla 1.6+.  If you are upgrading Huru Helpdesk from an earlier version, be sure to upgrade the add-ons as well.

Note: The general release of v0.89.02 is identical to v0.89.02beta1, as no major bugs were found or reported for the beta.  If you are running 0.89.02beta1, there is no need to upgrade at this time.

An early release of version 0.89.02 has been posted to the Download->Early Releases section.  The posted version is marked as 'beta 1' and, while quite stable, has not yet undergone full testing.  This release contains the same features as the previous v0.89 release but is has now been made Joomla 1.6+ compatible.  

Huru Helpdesk v0.89.02beta1 is a single installer package compatible with Joomla versions 1.5,1.6 and 1.7.

For those that are interested, I have now migrated my development system to Joomla 1.7 and have begun the process of making Huru Helpdesk v0.89 Joomla 1.6+ compatible. 

My plan is to release the 1.6+ compatible version as an update to v0.89 since the features will be identical (all features are frozen for the modifications).  Unless I run into something that makes it impossible, the plan is to make the update dual installable on Joomla 1.5 and 1.6+.  In the future, I hope to keep it compatible across all versions for as long as Joomla 1.5 is supported.

As for a timeline, I am guessing that the modifications will take a couple of weeks.  

I would like to thank AmrasTaralom for posting a Joomla 1.6 compatible mod of Huru v0.88d a few weeks ago.  That should provide some good info going forward with the modification of Huru v0.89.

A potential cross-site scripting (XSS) security vulnerability has been identified by a user in Huru Helpdesk versions 0.88d and earlier. The problem also exists in the 0.89 beta versions.

This problem has been fixed in the general release of version 0.89 available via the Download tab above. Anyone using a version of Huru Helpdesk earlier than version 0.89 should upgrade as soon as possible, particularly if you allow public entry of cases.
